It may not look like much on paper, but few people realize how much the bigger updates rest on the shoulders of smaller ones like this one. Good to see a lot of old particle effects coming back and some new graphical (and performance) improvements as well.

I've never really liked golem farms much, unlike grabbing masses of monsters together they feel a bit hacky. But, saying any more would be a suggestion, and I'm avoiding those.

I'm just going to go ahead and ask about the elephant in the room. Is lava going to be pumpable, or will we be building aqueducts into our caves? As I recall, trying to pick up lava with a bucket in HCB tends to be a rather painful experience.

If this is what I think it is, my suggestion just got implemented about 20 days before I was going to post it... Do partial blocks now merge with each other on placement, similar to vanilla slabs into twin-slabs? (only making use of FC's improved placement system)

That sounds highly unlikely, as FC has expressed a dislike for nerfing vanilla functionality in such a way, it seems more suited to the "Hardcore Grinding" mod.

Maintaining a steady breeding supply of sheep and isolating mutants for selective breeding definitely beats keeping a lone sheep of each color locked in its own pen. Plus, with a little skill and patience, you can produce colored wool without having to gather dyes in the first place.
