Yeah, I'm pleased with them to be sure. Simple, elegant, and just works in a way that feels like it always should have been like this.

The pleasant surprise part came from me realizing that I was having a ton of fun with it, and didn't want to stop farming in the test area I had setup, long after I had confirmed everything was working properly.

Hence the post :)

Foul Food is *INTENTIONALLY* useless. It's a punishment for making a mistake, not a reward. You're essentially asking for the same thing as if you had asked for Ghasts spawning out of Hoppers to be useful when you forget to power them, or the explosions resulting from overheating Hellfire Dust to be useful.

Not everything needs an in-game use to be a relevant feature.

Oh no, quite the contrary, I just vaguely remembered the reason stated (or at least, one of the reasons stated) for its removal was it was too easy to mass produce and was wondering now that the bone meal effect was being nerfed if being easily mass producable was reason for its removal. Personally I agree with Foul Food being useless. :)

TL;DR: I'm sorry if it came off as a suggestion and completely agree with you.

Well since I know you were talking about "nerfing" bonemeal I was kinda scared initially as I usually only use it for the first 2 or 3 minecraft days while I setup my initial farm (before my house[read shelter] is even built) then never use it again. But now I'm confused.

With instant growth shouldn't it be "hardcore hardcore" instead of "hardcore farming"?

Edit: Forgot to mention that I've been highly anticipating this addition since farming is such a large part of Minecraft and yet currently incredibly boring, gameplay wise.

That sounds highly unlikely, as FC has expressed a dislike for nerfing vanilla functionality in such a way, it seems more suited to the "Hardcore Grinding" mod.
