Six hours to go! http://rosetta.esa.int
I watched the live stream of curiosity landing and it was awesome! Not sure if this will be the same because the delay/distance is greater and the optics are not as quality. Still very excited for this complex and lengthly mission :)
Philae Lands on 67P
Re: Philae Lands on 67P
It successfully landed!
Re: Philae Lands on 67P
Ten years waiting for its' time and it is going well :)
Philae is sending signals the harpoons did not fire but it is down? Odd, maybe miss read or the legs stuck in the surface. I did read it had a backup grabbing mechanism. Now we wait for some pictures :)

Re: Philae Lands on 67P
Dang harpoons! Being in a spot with limited solar panel exposure I think ESA will go with a "hop" as a last resort to reposition. They are going to use one of the instruments to push off the surface lol.
I hope they make a decision before the battery dies just to make the attempt.
This would be like landing a more aggressive and craggy Gilly. I did see KSP was going to make an addition http://www.reddit.com/r/KerbalSpaceProg ... l_another/.
Pictures are great but getting a surface drill is much better.
