what seed is needed for a flat world

hey,
i'm trying to work on designs and was seeing alot of flat worlds in the videos..
I'm wondering what seed i need to make the world flat...
or is there something else done to make a flat world?

I think those might be custom worlds created with MCEdit or some other program. I'm not sure the game's seed system is designed to create a flat world.

You can get some virtually flat worlds through terrain generators like phoenixterrain.

Seems to be nice, haven't installed it *yet* so i can't attest to its quality but it's made by Hippoplatimus from Piston fame so looks ok :)

If you want a flattish world (though not completely like those used in test world videos), the seed Iron Man has a large hill free area see http://commercialgenerators.blogspot.co ... isode.html.

also, just a heads up, the link Battosay gives is a great list of maps, but not all of them are done & has been discontinued, though it is still available to download.

is still up & running and taking requests for maps as well as providing a ton of flat maps for many different options.
