Nether chicken dissatisfaction...

Post by Panda »

So as ive continued expanding my nether base i decided to make a chicken farm for some food. However after making it and getting tones of easy meat (giggity) i started to feel like i was cheating... like we have evil mobs and environment in the btw nether and then i added a chicken.... it feels like an exploit.... just curious to know if anyone else shares my dissatisfaction with Nether Chickens....
If i have my way theyde turn into hardboiled eggs when thrown ;D

You know that chickens are evil? There is a reason why they can live in the nether.
They are evil! EVIL I SAY!

Chickens are inherently evil, they belong.

Anyway, I wouldn't be opposed if there's was a fair (but dangerous) trade for 'em.

How can you survive in the nether without them, Even the ground of the nether permeates with evil? Having an abundance of naive innocent chickens creates a target rich environment that insidious spirits just have a hard time finding you in making it harder for them to infect your mind and drive you insane.

I fill the walls of my nether fortress with them for spiritual insulation.

Oooo...instead of hardboiled eggs are you suggesting disfigured and mutated nether-chickens that no sane person would want to eat? Intriguing.

I'm not sure about the Quad though. I think a uni-chicken that kinda limps around in circles might be more appropriate.

What if it leaves a trail of placenta behind it?

EDIT: Sorry...must delay 1.3 update to work on uni-chickens.

Can we expect at least one of those during the stream?

Just got a Frankenstein vibe from that. Having to stitch up chickens would be a nice way to pass the time.

I had a similar situation as panda had with my nether wheat and chicken farms. I opted to only grow the food in the normal world and bring food to the nether. But if crops and livestock were mutated due to the environment then I would reconsider building them in the nether or even in the end.

Is it better to have posted and failed or to have never posted at all?

Ah yes...I vaguely remembered something similar to this that I had seen elsewhere. No idea how I could forget good old Gobbles:

I agree with the unichickens..

The hard-boiled eggs would remove the need to cook them in a stewing pot cauldron therefore remove the need for a feature :(
This is assuming they would instantly become boiled.

Yeah, because going to the nether to toss your eggs around is so much easier than building a chicken singularity above a pot.

Unichickens... I would love to hear the backstory for these!
I play videogames, program, animate, draw, write music and play waterpolo. That makes me one unusual bowl of salsa.
