I was mildly bored and decided to explore a few seeds and found one I think is pretty neat.

A short distance from spawn is this fairly high source block.


Directly behind where the first shot was taken is a desert with a winding river in it, and a skeleton spawner/dungeon smack in the middle.


The mountain range that the water source block (first shot) is set in is pretty wonky, but I might not be used to the new terrain gen.

Generated a 1.1 world today, I think I may have a winner. No wtaer on mountain tops but chock-a-block with interesting chasms including a quadruple right outside a small village at -477 343. I've not explored much of it yet but I've found all the necessities. Excellent seed for us flat lander/build down types.

This seed seems to have no shortage of high waterfalls in extreme hill biomes. There is a large range of mountains near spawn, with many possible positions for bases.

Try the seed 891310854. South of spawn, at coordinates 198,66,286 is a small valley with a water fall and two nearby caves. Not sure of the coordinates, but there is a larger cave under a cliff not too far away. will post the caves coordinates after i get them. Lots of resources available just under the surface in each location.

OMG my name is AWESOME. No really this is probably the best HCB seed I have seen. seed is "Kregoth"

there 3 waterfalls to work with right next to each other 2 of which lead into a massive cave opening that is even larger inside. there is a very close by snow biome, There is also a pine forest biome a bit a ways to the south for your wolf needs.

Of the MC forums? I feel almost insulted.

Be aware that this was generated with BTB installed and the changes to world generation may give different results if this seed is used with BTW on it's own.

After installing BTB, I spent 30 minutes randomly generating worlds until I got one I liked. And well...its epic.

This area is covered in mountains, caves, deserts, 3 exposed zombie spawners, and a short trip away, a forest biome with wolves! Oh and did I mention a surplus of oil? All mostly in a 200x200 area.

Heh, no offense intended.

I've taken my fair share of seeds from this thread, so I figure I should add one myself. I found this one while trying to figure out if an issue I had was with BTW, BTB, or another one of my mods, so the seed may not be perfect (BTB was the only thing touching world gen). But this is a fairly good one I found.

Spawn is in an oak (or normal) and birch forest, right next to a river with a pine forest directly across.

A short distance from spawn is a desert with a fair number of oil deposits (which your BTB may not generate, I can't confirm), and some neat mountain terrain bordering a swamp.

Just on the other side of those mountains (the larger group of the two) is a fairly nice HCB area. The water source could be a tad higher, but the terrain seems worth having a few structures underground.

Hope at least one person thinks this seed is as neat as I did (and that it works).

Edit: @ above. That's a pretty neat mountain generation, and holy crap that's a lot of oil.
