I've been playing this particular game for close to 10 years now, it's called Poetry Tag. If you are a poet that is active on various web-based poetry communities, I'm sure you've heard of it.
The rules are simple:
"Tag" someone, that person is "it" and has to write an impromptu poem on the topic/title you provide.
After they have submitted their poem, they can then tag someone else and keep the chain going.
My only real rule/request is that there be no negative critique, you may discuss any facet of a poem you like, but above all be courteous and avoid sounding harsh. This is a game for amateur and seasoned poets alike, with no strictures about meter or rhyme.
Post your name in a reply if you would like to be added to the roster and I'll include you in a list on the OP so that people can easily see who is interested in being tagged.
Edit: Rule Revision -
I'm preserving the previous description so people can see the way the game is conventionally played, but for the purposes of streamlining on the forum, I'm going to make an amendment to the rules.
If a topic is left unanswered by the "tagged" person for a whole day, that topic is fair game for everyone, in this case multiple poets taking the same topic is also fine. (no puns about poetic ninjas mind you!)
So basically, instead of one person being it and tagging someone...We'll have kind of a free-for-all Poetry Tag Battle Royale
