My thread in the Minecraft Forums for my LP has been deleted. No reasons given. Nothing. Just gone.

I just went to refresh the page, and I get "You do not have permission to view this page." All references to it on my profile page are gone. No explanation.

Honestly, I'd protest it, just to see what they say about it, I can't imagine a remotely sane justification.

*sigh* Looking deeply over the rules for the forum, it seems all video thread in that second of the MCF are required to have at least one embedded video. I did not have any because I don't know how to do that on the MCF. Ironically enough I was just thinking I needed to ask you how you did that, FC. With the paragraph they've got emphasizing that in the rule list, I'm betting that's what tripped the trigger.

I still think I'm going to cry.

You know, I had some problems making the thread for my old BTW addon, dynamo. I talked to some moderators on the IRC for the MCF, and got it resolved pretty quickly. I think (I hope) they are usually fair in these situations, so I think you should talk to them. My thread was automatically removed, by the way, it wasn't a moderator that had deleted it. Maybe that was the case with you...

I just hope they can get the content restored, and it wasnt' deleted permanently

Me too! If it is that embedding thing, though, I'll ask if it can be restored, and I'll embed the hell out of that thread xD I really would have preferred to do it in that way anyways - I just wish I knew how.

That absolutely sucks, especially if they didn't even take the time to notify you. Don't let it get you down, I'd be horribly surprised if it was personal. An over-zealous mod probably just skimmed through the forum and removed any posts that weren't following the rules.

I think I've found how to embed video on the minecraft forum, just need to put the video url in the appropriate tags:

[media] Your Video URL Here [/media]

Also make sure the url is http, not https. Apparently the latter won't work. Cheers, looking forward to the next video!

Wow Morv that sucks, I really hope it was an accident. If they deleted it simply because you didn't have a embedded video then it just shows the moronic tendencies over at MCF.

Yeah, it's just the media tag, which also has a button in the post editor. I was wondering why you weren't doing that :)

Within the tag, you'll want to put the full link to your video, which can be obtained through hitting the "Share" button on the video itself in youtube. That's unlike these forums where you just put the last part of the link within the tag.

For example, for your update vid, the tag would look like this:

Morvelaira, that really sucks :(. I hope that it was just the embedding thing and they restore it. I still can't believe they didn't give a reason - that's just bad moderating. You'd expect some explanation, no matter how short. Don't get too upset about it, though - yeah, it had time and nice comments on it, but your LPs are still intact and continue to be by far the best I've seen. Worst comes to worst, you start a new thread, and it'll quickly fill up with loving comments. Fingers crossed for a restore though. So try to not let the madness of the MCF get you down too much :).

I had a lot of trouble getting that sort of thing to work over at the MCF. This should work, though:
