I had a idea for the mod, and i think its a good one:
A ForgeBench!
It wold be as the furnace, but it would be powered by lava and wold able u to craft unique items!
Ideas for the ForgeBench:
Obsidian added to a block of iron or steel would make nine obsidian bars, usefull for making tools and armor.
A iron, gold, diamond, steel or obsidian used tool next to the material its made of would repair them.
Ex: gold 80% used tool plus gold ingot = gold 0% used tool!
U make the other ideas!

Obsidian tools seems rather pointless since steel is already better than diamond.
Tool repair is coming in future minecraft updates. You can already recycle metal tools in the crucible to repair them completely.

Maybe, but the forgingbench is a good idea

Yeah...just sounds like a combination between the Anvil and Crucible.
