I can confirm pigs. I was taking them home from the forests, when I got too close to the water, a squid took one of them..

Squids go after every animal except for wolves I believe. Pushing animals into the water actually used to be a very viable way of preventing them from dying...not anymore.

Probably the simplest way to farm squids is to get them beached. Using vine traps there's endless ways you can capture them.

Also have you ever seen squids play tennis with a chicken? It's epic :D
