Well that quite dashed my hopes. I have always been a little on the shy side so I just lurk but I've been reading from the forum for a while. I'm kinda weird about registering for anything. But that's ok, I am just exited to hear about the work flowerchild has done for the mods progression. Thank you for considering though, and I will keep reading and now maybe posting from time to time.

So as many of you know, Aesthetics isn't my strong suit. Unlike many of us I go for function first and aesthetics later.

Sadly though, I need some aesthetic prowess for something I have wanted to do for a long time, and because of that I have posted a "Design Challenge" at spawn!

Whoever can make the most beautiful, most pleasing or most impressive column for an overground rail line shall receive a special prize from me. Contestants must be on the Better than Solo server while also being awesome.

This, is NOT good enough.


The columns will need to support two rail lines, just like the the main lines in the nether. Other than that, there are no restrictions to the design at all, it can be made of dark and dingey netherbrick and blackstone, it can be built from the finest pink wool, I do not mind at all!

Prizes will vary depending on the contestant. Some people need one thing, others need another. It could be a useful machine, it could be a payment of items, but you'll have to win to find out. :P

The winning design will be used to network many bases in the overworld using my ample resources, providing slightly longer, but more scenic routes for people to travel along, instead of this horrid nether-transport culture we are coming into that forgoes the beauty of minecraft worlds for a quicker journey.

My IGN is murillokb and i'm 22 years old. I'm from Brazil but i live in Germany since jan/2012 so i'll be online mostly between 15:00 and 01:00 EUW time.
I know almost every aspect of vMC and BTW (except the newest things, like better wolves)
I've played in casinodoug's server for a while but the server was closed after the second month :(
I can handle myself with redstone stuff and crazy builds but i'm not good with aesthetics.
I'm a reaaally friendly person, i love to speak to people to kill the "i'm alone" mood and i like to help others in their builds (read: i'm a good sidekick)
I've read the forum and server rules and i agree to them.
Hope to be whitelisted and have fun in the server :D

I speak both :) portuguese is my motherlanguage and my english is better than my german anyway.

No worries. If you have a lot of posts that just means I have a history I can look at to get a feel for the person. I also look at when the posts were made and when the person signed up.

Without that, I ask people to post a good sized introduction so I can gauge the person. It's not foolproof but I can get a good feel for someone from it.

Was this a BTW server? I'm guessing it wasn't on the BTW forums at least since I can't find a posted started by him in the server section. If you have a link for a forum post (wherever it is) for his server that would be a good reference :)

Don't be too down. What FC said didn't really apply to your whitelist request. He was pointing out that server operators are wise to the tactic of spam posting. You only have two posts, both of which are in this thread. That other person spammed a bunch of posts to different threads, necroing one in the process with a completely idiotic post.

Also, I do not require a minimum posting history in order to be whitelisted. I'm not sure if you thought that was the case, but it doesn't help to clear that up anyway :)

There are two issues though. One is that you are half missing something very specific that I want in all whitelist requests. Check out the "Getting on the Whitelist" section on the OP again and you'll spot it.

The other came from a search of your IGN (which I note in the OP that I do) which led to this post and the few after it:

Now about spawn camping, you should know when I first purchased mine craft I created my original username and like a dummy for a long time the password was the exact same. I didn't get that memo and someone figured it out, then proceeded to play around in the community ruining my IGN rep. I honestly had no idea until several servers banned me for stuff like that, and my skin curiously changed, to the exact one you see in the picture on that thread. Now do I have proof that wasn't actually me well no but with all honesty it wasn't and I've yet to find a way to wash my IGN of that plight,so I'm sorry if I've wasted your time reading this. My password has been changed to something way more secure. Sincerely thank you for your patients.

Hello! I'm a 13 year old Norwegian that would love to join this server. I live in a city that's called Steinkjer, if you have heard of Trondheim, it's somewhere near there.
I've been living there my whole life. I'll be online mostly 2-4 hours a day. (Monday, Thursday, Wednesday, Tuesday, and sometimes on Fridays.)
My IGN is Ultimate_Cookie. I've been playing Minecraft since Minecraft beta 1.5_01, and Better Than Wolves mod for a week, so I'm starting to get into it now.
I'm planning to get my brother (26) to join a BTW server too. I'm a very friendly person, and I will probably talk to people really often.
I can make pretty good builds, I'm not so used to make so big builds, but i can do it.
I'm pretty good at redstone, but I don't like to brag about anything. I've read the forum rules and the server rules and I agree with them.
I hope that I/we can join the server. :)
