Saving Chunks Crash on using Wooden Pick
With the latest BTW (2.93) and Forge (1.06) installed, the "saving chunks" screen will come up and will crash to black screen when attempting to hold the Wooden Pick as the active item. This was done on a fresh world. Please let me know if you need more information.

Your modloader.txt file in the .minecraft folder may help to show if there is a conflict due to another mod or install error.

Re: Saving Chunks Crash on using Wooden Pick
I am not having this problem. Did you install ModLoader and then Forge or the other way around? Also, did you use a clean minecraft.jar?

Re: Saving Chunks Crash on using Wooden Pick
i didn't use a clean jar. i had modloader, TMI, SPC, (i was doing some testing, dont judge me), ID resolver, BTW and forge 1.04. I put in forge than BTW, but i dont think this is an installation error

Clean .jar, modloader, then forge.

Re: Saving Chunks Crash on using Wooden Pick
Odd. I did the following and was able to craft, equip, and use a wood pick with no problem.
1. Clean jar
2. Delete META-INF
3. Install ModLoader
4. Install Forge Client 1.0.6
5. Install BTW 2.93
6. New world
7. Harvest logs, construct wooden pick
8. Mine dirt.

Sorry. I just tried 6 blocks of sandstone and had no problems.
Re: Saving Chunks Crash on using Wooden Pick
I thought BTW 2.93 required Forge 1.0.6 now?

Re: Saving Chunks Crash on using Wooden Pick
Guys, you can't just install Forge 1.06 over 1.04 (if that's what you were using). A clean install is absolutely necessary.
When in doubt ALWAYS clean install your mods.

Re: Saving Chunks Crash on using Wooden Pick
I get saving chunks even with a refined pick. And I'm using a clean install of Forge 1.0.6 (as well as everything else: BTW, TMI and Zombe)
FlowerChild: Ice in deserts is a good idea
Re: Saving Chunks Crash on using Wooden Pick
Ok, after testing it, it seems that the problem (for me at least) is the gs.class from Zombe (used for the flying mod). Without it I can use picks without any problem but with it I always get chunk crashes.
It is probably a conflict with Forge rather than BTW since Forge uses gs.class but BTW doesn't.

but forge 1.0.4 use gs:class to and zombe flymod works whit that!
Re: Saving Chunks Crash on using Wooden Pick
erm no thats not an anser to my prob cos i have a fresh copy of MC instald modloader than forge then BTW all latest versons and nothing ells and the META-INF is deleted toBattosay wrote:The answer to your problem is on the post right above yours ...
but never mide il just play the old one till 1.8udates.
P.S just a BIG GJ to FC for making this mod its the best one out ther in my Eys ceep upp the asumnes =)
Re: Saving Chunks Crash on using Wooden Pick
I know, I used it when BTW could use 1.0.4. Now however I noticed that it stops working if the only change I make is overwrite the Forge gs.class with the one from Zombe.demo141 wrote:but forge 1.0.4 use gs:class to and zombe flymod works whit that!

Re: Saving Chunks Crash on using Wooden Pick
Then I'm sure you're using an outdated version of Modloader or the Forge, or that you forgot some mods in your /mods folder, because it's working perfectly for everyone else :odemo141 wrote:erm no thats not an anser to my prob cos i have a fresh copy of MC instald modloader than forge then BTW all latest versons and nothing ells and the META-INF is deleted toBattosay wrote:The answer to your problem is on the post right above yours ...

Re: Saving Chunks Crash on using Wooden Pick
you have to get a clean jar, for some reason that i dont fully understand, outdated forge versions can not just be overridden by placing the newer version into your jar
Re: Saving Chunks Crash on using Wooden Pick
Because they removed some of the baseclass modification or changed the place they've put their hooks in the version 1.0.5, so if you don't start from a clean .jar you won't delete the old, and now unnecessary, file from the Forge 1.0.4.walker_boh_65 wrote:you have to get a clean jar, for some reason that i dont fully understand, outdated forge versions can not just be overridden by placing the newer version into your jar
But he said he was using a clean .jar, so I don't think that's the problem.
Re: Saving Chunks Crash on using Wooden Pick
