Does BTW affect vanilla SMP?

If you're having problems with your installation of Better Than Wolves, or if you've woken up in the future and are beginning to doubt the nature of reality, here's the place to post about it.

Does BTW affect vanilla SMP?

Post by J Hoyt »

I'm involved with some friends on a small vanilla server, and I was wondering -before I get back in the BTW groove- if having BTW installed has any effect on the game while playing vanilla SMP?

Probably, there are a huge number of changes, and it might not be immediately apparent to you or the server owner. I'd recommend just copying your .minecraft folder somewhere else and redownload a copy of vMC.

I have forgotten to switch jars and gone onto my friends vanilla server several times, it seems ok at firast, but as soon as you do anything, break a block, attack something, you get kicked from the server.

Best bet is to have back up jars for different servers.
