Respawn! (TPoT's queerly written Minecraft adventures)
Day One An easternly wind blew through the trees of a wooded forest. I could've sworn I'd been here a hundred times before, and on any other day, I might have crossed through that specific area on purpose, but today I knew nothing about this wood beside the fact that I knew it all. Once. But when t...

Re: Grau's Badly Written Adventures in Minecraft
I'd hate to be a copycat, but I was thinking about doing my own story. A bit differently, ofcourse, I write a lot differently, but this kinda inspired me. :P Thanks! Likin' it!

Re: Speculating on BTW's story and narrative.
The villagers were determined. They would suss out the demons with which they pretended to interact with on Ouiji board nights. They gathered round, said the chant, and... And... All they got was Steve. Perhaps the ritual destroyed the village, perhaps that was a result of an occult Rage-Quit. That'...

Re: About the impact of death in HCS/HHH
Depending on your distance from spawn, you can just make a map. I've not only narrowed my village down to being south-east from spawn, but across an ocean, through a forest, and in the middle of the desert. The new map sizes are very handy for that purpose. You can also make a copy of it to put in a...

Re: 4.62 Balance Observations & Discussion
Actually, to amend a post I made earlier, I realize now that my abundance of food isn't anything to do with what your update did to food quantities, but it made me focus on food for the early game; instead of working out making a house, or considering large-scale mining operations, I've been killing...

Definitely go over the changes to farming, especially the importance of early hemp farming, how to balance plot usage, etc.

Re: 4.62 Balance Observations & Discussion
I just started a fresh world, gathered some resources, and ran off to find a village. On day 4, after extensive mining, I had an iron pick and an iron sword, and on day five, I found the village, saved them from a Zombie apocalypse, and put them under Martial law (HAH! Rub your nooooses in my face n...

I haven't been playing a lot of MC lately, (And the only way I've played since SFS was BTW) so I haven't gotten to experience HCH until this morning. At my base, I was testing the effects of damage on a character by drowning him. The experiment was conclusive! Steve can no longer swim when he is cri...

Re: S tarting Over, again
I like to build into cliffsides and in the walls of ravines, to help with my cobblestone-gathering problem. It gives you a more organic reason to mine, and an interesting setting. I haven't done that for a while, though, but I'm thinking I'd make a new outpost in one like that. Usually a place with ...

Re: Walls!
I couldn't post any pictures as of right now, but I generally have fun building my walls with pillars on the outside of it, with a stone brick framework and cobble matter, about 5-7 blocks thick, and I include underground paths between several guard posts I establish. I lock my villagers up kinda li...

Will the gameplay be significantly more realistic than Minecraft, or will it be more that things are more intuitive with realistic reasons, like in BTW?

Re: Speculating on BTW's story and narrative.
I like your explanation for the water damaging Endermen, as well as their formation. It makes sense. After some searching, and looking up the 'Soul Anus' and stuff, which led to several lore forums, I think I have some of the information to compile what is, or is closest relative to, the Better than...

Re: Speculating on BTW's story and narrative.
So now, I've got to wonder, what would the overarching purpose of the endermen be? Are they just a byproduct of so much obsidian (in the End) and so much dimensional fabric manipulation that they can come to life and traverse various planes? It seems to make sense. There's a direct connection betwee...

It's for features like this that I would say: "I don't play Minecraft. I play Better than Wolves." Great feature. I was just thinking earlier "Might be cool to build roads in all of my stuff... But why? Ahh, waste of resources." Now, I'm Roman. Thanks FC :D

Re: Speculating on BTW's story and narrative.
I've also heard alot about the Nether; how building a portal made a foul connection to the Overworld. Something about souls leaking out, and the Ender dragon feeding on them. Lore from the archives of BTW Forum past. I'll have to find that again. It was actually really cool.

Re: Place your bets : rampant speculation on the new feature
I think it'll probably be a player mechanic - as opposed to a gameplay mechanic. After reading some threads, it seems that it'll be something one can notice immediately, took very little time to implement (so, like HCB, it's simple, but impactful) and makes the player develop different habits. Since...

Re: HCC Feeding Issue
Well, I gave 8 chickens 8 seeds, and got 3 eggs in return, not to mention that none of them would eat for several minecraft days; I tried switching up the seed variety (giving hemp and wheat seeds) but, perhaps they were depressed? They were kinda sorta starving themselves. And still are.

HCC Feeding Issue
I'm having an issue feeding my chickens. I bring them wheat/hemp seeds, and they follow me as they should, though I cannot directly feed it to them as I could wheat another animal. I also threw the seeds, thinking that it might've been the intended manner anyhow, but only once did they ever eat the ...
