Re: What's the most annoying thing you can think of ?

Current dicussion reminded me of one: People assuming that argument in favour of a group automatically means you're part of that group. So far most people I argue against seem to believe I'm an American/Middle Eastern lesbian. I just don't get the idiotic mentality that if you're not part of a group...

On topic: Drinking too many cokes, and hearing colours.

On a more serious note: Crossed senses, and sensations that defy explanation. The smell of snow, for an instance of the latter, or the above example for the former.

Pre-release 3 incoming! I think we should do another prerelease tomorrow. 1.9 pre 3! in Antwort auf @notch ↑ Jens Bergensten I agree! Oh, and here you see the difference between Notch coding and FC coding: 09:01 PM Markus Persson Well, that effect ended up being a LOT of work for something you will...

Re: I'm thinking that I have to soon start pacing myself.

Oblivion is not worth it with Skyrim coming up :) Halo 1-3, Reach and ODST are all totally not worth playing, with Halo 4 coming up. Yeahno. The overwhelming awesome that Skyrim promises doesn't mean TES 4 isn't worth playing. Hell, I still play Morrowind from time to time for nostalgia's sake. And...

I don't think so. I'm fairly sure FC just doesn't want his code redistributed-- but don't quote me on that, I may be wrong.

But then again, it never hurts to ask :P

Ouf. Glad to hear that. Obligatory manual feeding for any animal breeding just sounds tedious. Unless Mojang give us a trough/feeding tray block... but I doubt it. (would be a neat use for wheat though) Reminded me of a vent discussion a while back about wheat or grain becoming a finite liquid for ...

Touch TES and borderlands. Touch them lots.

Ignoring how horrible that sounded, seriously, both good games that you can lose yourself in for hours. Just... don't go 3rd person in TES, 'kay?

Honestly, people give 'goons' waaay too much credit and come up with crazy paranoid conspiracies based on word of mouth or incidents that were years in the evolving. The all-mighty, all-consuming 'Goonswarm' is no more a real threat or a real concern then the dreaded "anonymous". It rides...

Cauldron/Crucible Emptying

Just a thought, decided to post it after the thread on pipes. While pipes are a good way to empty things and are compatible, a method for those using only BTW would be nice as well. Using a BD to destroy them works, yes, but items are often lost to the fire, and the timing gets to be huge if you're ...

If we were going for derivatives of the Ender Pearl I'd prefer something more along the lines of an Ender Pad. Make slabs of ender pearls, arrange 3x3 on the ground. If you throw an ender pearl to your feet within loaded chunk distance of one, it warps you to it (at perhaps a higher health cost, tho...

Re: BuildCraft Pipe Compatablity

With both a BC and BTW API, I'm fairly sure we can, actually. Are you a programmer? I am, and I'm telling you that these APIs don't work that way. The API doesn't let you edit functionality of existing blocks. What is required is for FC to slightly refactor his code to follow a certain standard tha...

That's not going to help anything. Sorry dude. The API will not fix the BC compatibility or allow us to fix it.

I do find it a tad bit queer, however, that you seem to be the only one any of them has a beef with, Flower. I guess some people just don't get along. Near as I see it-- the others that were wronged here tend to be a bit more lenient, whereas FC is firm on his stance. I suspect it's partly a matter...

Re: BuildCraft Pipe Compatablity

Two separate notes... Firstly, on FC fixing compatibilities-- That's something, imo, that would be better left to the community after he releases his API. If he wants to do it, cool, but he's already ensured it would be widely compatible by switching to the Forge. Beyond that, I see no reason why he...

I'd be interested in something new. I tend to go for skins that look like a medieval wanderer sort of things. My TPs and mods always tend to lean to a medieval era. My current skin, for some point of reference, can be provided. Thanks in advance if you decide to make something :) What general type ...

Or could be placed inside the area you'd otherwise put the screws. Then again-- I can see it having to work differently than the pulley. Rope, after all, can conceivably be coiled around a pulley to fit inside that 1x1x1 box-- but screws pumping out to be 1x1x1 from a 1x1x1 box? Perhaps instead scre...

Re: BuildCraft Pipe Compatablity

It would be entertaining, but for most blocks, a similar effect can be achieved by removing the block with objects inside with a BD and focusing the blocks into an obsidian pipe. The putting-stuff-into it works with several blocks simply by dropping things on top, so just stop the pipes one block sh...
