Misplacing brick ovens is frustrating

I just accidentally mis-placed a brick oven, such that the open face was facing another oven instead of "forward". There was no way to use the misplaced oven except by breaking it, which lost many of the bricks. I understand how having a high cost for moving brick ovens encourages base-building, but this felt unintentionally punishing given how finnicky Minecraft block orientation is.
