New world creation and famished

I recently had hardcore spawned died multiple times. Left me famished until i was fed up and made a new world. The new world i spawned famished. I closed my game and created another new world and continued to be famished. 3rd attempt i was fine. Current version.

Can anyone confirm this? Seems really unlikely to me that this is a bug.

I also had it happen once on a previous version. I thought maybe just bad install.

That seemed unlikely, so I tried, and after jumping around until I was famished and hugging a cactus a few times, I couldn't get the debuff to carry over in a new world.

Could some files have stayed when i deleted the world? i dont normally name my worlds

If you delete a world and then immediately create a new one, issues happen. Files will indeed carry over, causing all sorts of issues (some of them pretty nasty, like incorrect chunks you only discovers hours into your new world). What I tend to do is always make sure I give each world I create a unique name.
