I have had 2 temples explode on me when I have not had access to the pressure plate. The first time I was digging around the chamber but had not opened into it yet, the second time I wasn't even in the temple, I found a live temple that was buried in the sand and I was trying to dig to a door. Has any one else had this happen?

Temples are dark, I assume a zombie can spawn inside and step on the pressure plate.

That may be what is going on.
