I have doors to my pig and cow pens straight from my base. That seems to help with the skittishness. So, no access to the outside world until I break my 2 dirt block "door" to go outside (I don't use a door for outside). And every 2-3 days, there is a zombie desperately trying to get in to knock door the doors to my animals. Makes mornings interesting. Trying to evade the spiders shooting webs at me, avoiding creepers and the zombies desperately trying to get to my animals. So one problem solved, another one creeps up.
So, I just put a dirt block in front of the doors. So kinda glad the door recipe is still there.
