So I need livers of the beast for villager trades, but can't figure out how to turn wolves into beasts.
The wiki states you need only feed rotten flesh to a wolf and it will be come one, but if I feed any of my wolves rotten flesh, they'll just eat it until full with no ill effects. I tried the same thing with a wild wolf too, and they won't even eat it off the ground. So what's going on here?

No ill effects? Then there is clearly nothing to worry about. Though I'd be careful if they start growling, could be a bad case of indigestion. They just need plenty of hugs and cuddles in that case.

Yeah, feed them all rotten flesh and make sure you let them roam around outside. They like wide open spaces, and I'm sure they'd enjoy the company.

Once you've fed them rotten flesh, they become much better pets around your base too! Make sure to let them bond with your livestock too, they love interracial gatherings, and don't worry...fences will ensure they don't do anything indecent in your animal pens.
