Better Than Wolves Forum

Just started a fresh game with BTW and spawned near a jungle. I'm trying to get a small farm of cocoa beans going to help keep me fed, but every time I try to harvest, I only get 1 cocoa bean back, which doesn't allow me to expand the farm or consume any for myself.

I checked the wiki and it doesn't even have an entry on this, so I thought I'd ask here: What am I doing wrong?

Cocoa farms are hard to expand. You only get a second set of beans a small percentage of the time.

My advice would be to go get more cocoa with which to start your farm initially, or to be satisfied with it taking a long time to get going.
