Are cows & sheep not meant to be able to eat grass from grass slabs? I made a pasture where it was completely slabbed, the grass had grown, but the cows refused to munch. On full grass blocks, the cows do their thing.

I've trawled through the change logs but can't find anything specific about it. I can't see any reason why not, apart from the fact that it could be a little too easy to make a huge, no-lighting-required, completely safe pasture for grazing.

This, much like mobs not spawning on half-blocks, is most likely something that Flowerchild would like to change, but would require too much effort for too little gain and would break old builds.

Correct...and also changing one without the other would allow players to create unlit pastures with no chance of monster spawning.
