So I have a jungle which is going to make my already risky cross continent villager move even worse. It stands right in my way. I considered just setting a bunch of fires but I didn't want to have to run all over the jungle myself.

Then an idea!
Access to fire I can throw (sometimes, if my timing is good, which it isn't always) and I only have to risk my life directing fireballs. Good trade!

Ooo with some ender pearls and some insta-health pots, this could be quite fun..

ah, I hadn't even considered health potions and ender pearls. In general I didn't think this through very well. I have a lot of fire, and I'm almost dead. There may also be 2-3 ghasts roaming the overworld now... not sure if they despawn if they move far enough away.

I had accidental ghast spawns and just stayed below ground, they always disappered rather quickly.

Can verify. had a soul bottler accident recently. The ghast disappeared about a minute or two after the explosion. Didn't stop it from setting the place on fire though.

you can always make yourself some fire charges and play a ghast like i did in my jungle

I've had ghasts disappear and reappear later when moving horizontally in the world, but when the ghasts go too high vertically they seem to vanish forever. I never go chasing them to check and see if they are just up in the sky unloaded or something...

Man, you should have watched Vioki's stream.... He implemented this idea. It was hilarious....
