I've been meaning to get writing a BTW Recipe app for Android. I'm an android user myself and currently use the BTW part of Minecraft Pocket Companion app, but it's out of date. drastically. It has blood wood and things, but old recipes which have been updated (such as the Block Detector and Hopper (to use siding rather than planks)) aren't up to date. Plus, it's not very helpful as the tech tree part of it is rather confusing :P

EDIT: Also, I'm still holding out on the pipe-dream of seeing either an add-on for CraftGuide that would support the anvil's 4x4 recipes, or a stand-alone mod that would fill that functionality. Not that PNGs are bad or anything, but I like having something in-game that I can fool with and show people what I'm doing when I record for my Let's Play.

I don't know how many people use it regularly but e.g. when Minecraft was released we were quite a lot of people following it live while on IRC discussing it.

I'm keeping the channel registered at all time in case there is ever interest for it (like with the release party). Doesn't seem like people are really interested in it though.

For chatting, the most active chat seems to be either live streams (currently Renevo's) or the Steam chat
