Jungle spiders: BTW exclusive?

I hopped on a new feed the beast mod pack because my btw server I play on is down for maintenance. I happen to spawn in a jungle and think "Oh its not btw, I can be somewhat safe here", and to my horror a smaller version of the jungle spider shows up and starts wrecking my face. After killing it, the only difference I noticed was I didn't get food poisoning.

Now to the point, are jungle spiders vanilla and I just didn't know it. Or did someone else decide to use jungle spiders?

Jungle spiders are not vanilla. If you didn't get food poisoning, then it may be either 1 a cave spider, or 2 another mob added by a different mod.

EDIT: A quick google tells me that this mod - http://feed-the-beast.wikia.com/wiki/Biomes_O'_Plenty adds a Jungle spider

(these guys are just as bad mind- almost too small to hit and the blindness effect...)

Thaumcraft 4 has cave spiders spawning in the magical biomes but I don't know if that is in the FTB pack as that uses Thaumcraft 3.
