Joshua's Anarchy Server BTW 4.9999999 [No more Whitelist]

Hello all, there seems to be an unfortunate absence of anarchy servers of late. To this end I am proud to announce the grand opening of Joshua's Better than Wolves Anarchy server.

If anyone has a good server name suggestion let me know.

For those of you who have never before played anarchy the rules are simple:
Anything goes except intentional cheating aids (you know what they are).

If you have any problems wish to report cheating etc please email me at joshua37w@gmail.com

I will ban cheaters immediately.

Currently the server is hosted on my home internet connection, it is robust but if this generates significant interest I will look into professional hosting. The server is no longer being backed up!

That would actually be perfect I was thinking to start it at 9 PST, 10 your time because we are having some friends over for dinner. (assuming that works for all of you guys)

Can you post the time on some kind of countdown website thing that streamers often uses to indicate how long there is to their stream?
Its a bit hard to know what all these time zones are for me o_0

Haha, ah man! This is the worst! Haha I can come like 40 mins late to the party at that time, which wouldn't be the worst thing ever. I don't wanna mess any plans up :/ but sat morning would work better for me. I guess I just want to make sure the sever kick off has enough people to be really fun. if there are plenty of other people getting on for it then don't worry about me :)

Since the last anarchy server is no more and I really enjoyed it, I would really like to get at shot at this one.

Experience: I started BTW a few weeks after the first release and am hooked nearly exclusively on it since it went full conversion. Also I'm a more or less regular presence on the Edolas server.

Age: 27

Start is 6am here, which is hard on a Saturday, but manageable. If the time should be shifted again, a few hours later is no problem, in the other direction it should start at least 4 hours earlier or I can't promise to be available.

EDIT: Any chance on giving the server a quick try beforehand? Especially in anarchy lag has a certain influence and considering this is a homeserver in the states, I'm not sure I get a connection from europe that doesn't torpedo my chances.

Also a quick question, how do you handle hardcore spawn? Is it on or off?

I will also open up a totally non-whitelisted TEMP server running BTW so that you guys can log on and test lag and such. Use the IP from the OP.

The current consensus seems to be that Saturday morning would be better which is actually now fine for me. (I got a lot of my calculus project done earlier today)

What time in PST (where the server is) is best for everyone Saturday morning PST? (use an online converter)
I can probably do anything from 5 am to 3 pm PST or later just let me know.

Speaking to the lag issue, are you guys interested in group paying for a dedicated anarchy server?
I am in college right now which means I am very close to broke but I could manage $2.50 a month. Looking at fragnet we could either do a 15$ a month or a 20$ a month option if everyone could do $2.50 per month we would only need 6-8 people to pay per month. Anyhow let me know what you guys think I am more than happy to go either way. I have no lag due to the server being inside my own network :)

Ok guys new tentative kickoff time of 11:00 Am PST, Saturday morning 10/26/13

That time seems to work for most people so that's what we will plan on. I will open up the sever at 10:55 to give people a few minute to log in. Please do not take anything from any of the chests, open any of the chests or attack anyone, until I announce that the games have begun. Violators will be killed using commands. I will use server commands to keep it day for the kickoff. When you log on please take you place on one of the pedestals. Teaser info about the chests: The lower chests pictured in the screenshot have exactly the same contents. The upper chest has better stuff but it is not combat related :).

I will update the OP with this info also.

I'm really interested to see the kick-off, but I don't feel like playing. Is anyone planning on streaming this? If not, maybe I can provide that service. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it yet, but I could check it out and let you know.

Hey Gates of logic, sorry about not being able to make it Saturday morning, but the server will still be up later whenever you would care to join. Gillberreke it would be awesome if you would like to stream the kickoff, if you don't want to play right away I could put you into creative so that you could fly up and get the best shots of the action. Let me know.
