It works fine on servers, no custom installation required. In fact the first screenshot (taken by me) is on my server.

So yes, it works on the server, but is not a server-side mod.
All parts should go together without forcing. You must remember that the parts you are reassembling were disassembled by you. Therefore, if you can't get them together again, there must be a reason. By all means, do not use a hammer.

Thank you. I've been wanting this in my world since maps came out. One of the most disappointing minecraft asthetic features. But now, I'm finally able to do this:

Pushed the update for 1.5.1.

I also dug into the code a bit more, and have a fix for the item frames disappearing when on the edge oh the screen (the hitbox code for them was wonko), but I can't seem to get the hitbox to change when a map is placed in them. It would also require a change to the item frame block class, so I've not released it, but might consider it if I can work out the changing hitbox size bit.

I just wanted to say that this addon is incredibly useful and aesthetically-pleasing. Keep up the good work! I attempted to take a screenshot of my enormous map wall, but I am having trouble uploading, so maybe later.

How are you lining up the maps so perfectly? I always seem to get overlap.

Use a guide map at the same scale, then craft the other maps while standing on the corners of that first map.

If you need help visualizing, get three square pieces of paper, and mark them as maps one through three. Put map one on a table. Now place map two so its center lies on the top right corner of map one. This is the same as making a map while standing at the corner of another. Repeat with map three's center at the lower left of map two, and discard map two. You now have two side-by-side maps.

Also, I believe that when map scaling was added, it made all maps bound to a grid, making it far easier to do this. But as Kataliaan said, all you have to do is line up the new maps to the corners of the old one.

I don't have the Bin folder where the minecraft.jar is supposed to be. Could this be because I'm also using Mcpatcher?

[Edit] It was in the versions folder.

I just went to install 4.AAABBBA and noticed that there is now a conflict with the bhh class

The last post from Six was from 2 years ago. It's my guess it probably won't be updated.

Six, if you do want to update it then you're welcome to. Otherwise in the meantime I'll see about updating this in Six's place and folding it into my mod thread.
