I've tweeted, and now I feel dirty...

Post by FlowerChild »

All right, so it appears that I have a twitter account after creating one to join in on a conversation about modder rights this afternoon.

I personally despise twitter, but given I'm there anyways, I'm going to give it an honest go to try and understand how the other half lives ;)

For those of you that want to hear about it when I decide to take a dump:

You should feel dirty! ;)

Apparently you've not just joined twitter but rapidly become quite prolific...

Yeah, I don't quite get it either, but I guess my bowel movements are of interest to people.

Hehe... You really should tweet at least once about your current level of (ir)regularity! ;)

I see you having way to much fun with this FC...

I never really understood twitter. Why the heck would I want to know what someone is doing every second of the day? Not to mention it says something about a person who believes everyone else really cares...but hey, what the crap do I know? Everyone seems to love it for some reason.

Well considering your bowel movements are a good visual representation of half the mod ideas out there (not to mention the personalities of some of the authors), I can see where some of the infatuation lies.

Congratu... um?
All parts should go together without forcing. You must remember that the parts you are reassembling were disassembled by you. Therefore, if you can't get them together again, there must be a reason. By all means, do not use a hammer.

I go offline for a weekend, and *this* is what happens?! You join *twitter*!? ;)

I joined it myself on the 1/1/09, apparently. I never posted anything, because I didn't like the character limit, so they deleted my account.

And are you really surprised at your ever-increasing follower count? Given how popular Twitter is, and how popular BTW is, there's obviously going to be a large overlap of people who are interested in both.

I cannot decipher that conversation. Would a more twitter literate member do me, and probably others a favour and post a decrypted version?

Ok, I laughed for about half a minute straight at "Movement Journal Day 1".

So, uh... thanks for that. ;)

Twitter? So 2010.

I'd be impressed if you joined identi.ca, but you'd have no one to talk to. Only us freetards hang out there.
There's only one V in my name, thanks.

Great. Now not only do I have to scour the forums for all FC posts cataloging and compiling all statements that may or may not be alluding to something, but I have to hit twitter too.

Yay.

btw, that MCF post you mentioned was a work of art.

You should listen, I'm sure the pony knows best. *facepalm*

I highly doubt fc would post news about mod features there. It looks like he's using it mostly to comment on vanilla trends, which I think is only a good thing. Its good someone notable in the mc community is disagreeing with Jeb & Dinner bone in that news arena.

I'm pretty sure it's not intentional, but I like how the tweets have stopped at 69.
On the internet you can be whatever you want. It's surprising so many people choose to be stupid.

I'm not so sure . . .

Slightly on topic, I got into it with dinner bone on twitter over automation. He posted a link to an automated fishing build and I replied something to the effect "its amazing how often you post links to stuff like this and have a stance against automation". Well he actually replied and a short conversation ensued unfortunately I was too busy irl, and couldn't reply quickly and lost his attention. I'll get a link when I can but my twitter name is brysono and I don't tweet much so the conversations should be easy to find.

The end result was basicly dinner bone claims they support semi automation but not full automation. He denied mojang having actively and purposefully discouraged mob grinders. And my last few remarks that were ignored regarded internal consistency using the vanilla hopper as an example of vanilla suckage. 140 characters is a bad arena for design arguments.

Not really anything new, just continued inconsistency from mojang.

Edit: shit sorry for the necro. Didn't realize I was a week behind reading this sub forum.
