animals in the end

Does anybody know if fc has said anything about this?
I asked in irc and found nothing. Also nothing with the search function. I know he has already done something with chickens in the nether ,and said he was going to handle the other animals. I just rather don't want to start any large size build in the end if it will be worthless soon.

side note: has anybody found out where the end portal sends items going to the over world?

Check the stickied thread on the related upcoming design change.

Short version: don't build a nether farm :)

EDIT: Oh, sorry, The End. No, I'm not doing anything to animals there. Build away.

I was not aware you could have animals in the End...

Thinking about it though with HCB being more or less void in the End, I am hard pressed to find a good reason to not just have a base there (provided it is well lit) or at least an endermen/animal grinder there. Or is there something I am missing?

Errr....fair point.

Ok, please stand by. Will need to think about this further. I had been primarily focused on animals in the nether causing problems, and hadn't fully considered the ramifications of them being in The End.

Sigh...gods damn it Mojang :)

on a side note i found out the hard way (sending a mine-chest filled with stuff from the end) that the end portal does not exit any where that i can tell for items and or animals and that you can only send carts/items/animals in not out.

and thanks fc will put off this project for a while then. back to fully automating steel! going to need 100,000 for a project on our server

What in gods name could you be doing with all that steel?

our water tower from 40 to 250 needs a case we decided it was going to be a steel phallus
