Drivers license is a photo ID...
And in the us, you can get jobs before 18.

Happy birthday!

Thanks
Its a false friend this word ^^

But in the US you don't count as adult before 21 is right ?
I heard that with alcoholics and so on

You are legally an adult (don't need guardian signature or permission) at 18.
If you take drivers education class and have a learners permit, you can get drivers license at 16. Otherwise you have to wait until 18.
Legal drinking age is 21. I know, it doesn't make sense.

I know the ages. Im legaly an adult now as it goes to maturity. Sadly I dont like the idea of purchasing pornography and I hate tabacco so nothing gained there really. and I know I could have gotten the permit earlier but I figure I might as well do it now that im supposed to be a responsible adult.

I was explaining for Don. I probably should have waited on my license. Class was pointless and expensive.

Again guys: no politics. This includes critiquing the laws/policies of particular countries. We've gone from "happy birthday!" to a conversation that's threatening to spiral into a debate on gun control, which is obviously a political issue.

Nobody ever gained anything by becoming an adult. It's basically a trap.

Happy birthday anyhow ;]

Geez Louise... jokes people... I do jokes! Lemme throw some more fun (maybe) ideas for you out there...

Get a tattoo! Get a piercing! Buy a lottery ticket! Donate blood! Get convicted as an adult... wait... no... don't commit crimes! Get a job as a bartender (I did when I was 18 ;) and it was awesome)! Go bungee jumping! Adopt a child! Get married! Get divorced! Buy a house! Enlist in the military! Rent a movie! Go to all those wonderful sites that demand you input your date of birth... without lying! Go to a strip club! Work there! Vote! Write your own excuse not for being absent from school!

Disclaimer... to avoid further 'incidents': These are all things you can legally do now dude, they do not in any way shape or form reflect my own personal beliefs and are meant to be humorous or educational in nature. Be cool, stay in school. And happy birthday man, welcome to adulthood.

After all, you went from this:

Well...technically you could confess to one that you didn't commit :)

Doesn't that count as perjury? Something you can't legally do...

It's only perjury if you lie under oath on the witness stand. Just confessing to crimes you didn't commit to the police is criminal mischief at most - and they may not even charge you for it depending on circumstances.

I don't know about that. But to actually get convicted as an adult I'm fairly certain you would have to.

But...but...perjury is a victimless crime!

Well, other than the victims of the serial killer that's still on the loose because you confessed to his crimes...

Ok, nm. Let's just skip the whole jail thing :)

Victimless crime eh... on that note, you could be a hooker in Nevada outside of Las Vegas as well! Go 18!
