Better Than Wolves Forum

Alright! First real contribution to the community, I bring you a continuation of Isabella II for Better than Wolves.

Picture time! It is a work in progress.

I am calling for pictures showcasing Isabella II's BTW Blocks. Show me the inside of your windmill, maybe a automated kiln, or urn factory.

As a side note, MCPatcher, available here, is pretty much recommended. For any future gimmicks that may be involved. I know most of you guys have it already, Panda uses it a lot for sure, but just as a note to those who don't have it.

Bonemouse for the vMC textures, which I have slightly modified.
Also lots of thanks to Sadat-X, who managed to find a large chunk of textures floating in cyberspace.

Most blocks are nice, I think... But that wolf companion cube looks more like a sheep...

Huh, I didn't notice... I thought it was quite close to the wolves in the pack. I'll see what I can do about it.

Thank you so much, and wow... The colors look fine, but I had no idea where I was placing textures, did I? :P Would it be possible for you send a copy of that world to me? It would help with fixing it...

I hate to be a downer but... you did not add a texture for the new hardcore bone. The tiles look purple when placed.

No I made the account so that I could post any problems I have on the forums. Like the texture problem lol. But I do Like your pack and thank you for the update.

This is looking gorgeous. Having been working on the Jolicraft support, I can appreciate the kind of work that goes into doing a texture pack extension, and you sir are doing amazing.

Thanks in heaps! It can be a bit frustrating at times, like when a block doesn't quite match the rest of the pack, *cough, rope, cough*. ^_^
I tried out jolicraft and the addon, and while it looked great, it made the world I had at the time look super weird. So I stopped using it. Keep up the good work over there!

Update! Finally I started working on items. I think about one third of them are done, with more on the way. Also slightly made Groth's adolescent stages a bit smoother, to contrast it's mature form. Re-made the four wooden planks from scratch, though moderately based on John Smith's textures. Will need to update the mod blocks for this, but that should be in the next version unless I decide to revert it back. Also added some animations, and want to make tonnes more. Started with long grass for now, and one other that only those who have bottled urns will find. ^_^

You should consider MCPatcher needed now, if you want to see the animations. If not, no worries.

I just wanted to chime in on here, since I have been using this pack quite a bit recently and have been talking to you about it on the IRC. It is a breath of fresh air to see such a nice 16x pack though. Keep up the good work!

When the BTW add-ons start rolling out with compatibility, do you plan on working on those as well, or are you sticking the vBTW only?

Update is great. The items that you've made so far look great, and you're doing an awesome job :)
However, for a little constructive criticism, I think that you should revert back to the old wooden planks texture. This new one is good as a standalone, but looking at it in my builds, it doesn't match with any other wood blocks like saws, crafting tables, gearboxes, ect. Also, I'd try to make the hafts a bit more brown.

You sure have been a big help. ^_^ I might do the addons, guess it depends on which ones people want.

Yeah, I figured it would break a few builds, but it was just a test. Granted, I would have made all the mod blocks match it if people liked the look. Thanks for the criticism. It helps.

It's the same color as the planks from which it's made, with leather wrapped around it. Still want it changed? ;)

Eh, I just thought that the SFS tools would look better with a browner haft, rather than the reddish one they have now. It's really your decision, though, I guess :)

Edit: You were right... I thought you meant the caps. All changed to match the Tanned Leather look.

This add-on has brought Isabella straight to the top of my favourite texture packs. Keep up the good work!
