weird issue with install of btw 3.92 and minecraft *solved*

OK, so i'm using the newest mcpatcher just to make sure.
I downloaded newest modloader, for minecraft 1.3.2
downloaded newest btw.
I insert both modloader & btw.
have hd fonts, hd textures, then modloader, then btw checked.
nothing else is checked.
i click patch.
says theres a # of file I have to use from btw, rather than just 1 from older patches.
i click test minecraft,
it shows black screen, then flashes mojang screen, then back to the black screen.
I can play if its just modloader or totally unpatched.
any ideas?

edit - side note,
i tried other mods, ie toomanyitems, death chest, minimap, spawner gui, and it loads.
so i'm not sure what i did wrong with the btw, its the only one that won't work.
or am i mistaken in it being compatible..

I had the same issue only my Mod loader won't work by itself. I've never used MC Patcher before, so I am guessing I messed up somehow, but not exactly sure where in the process. I followed the guide that is stickyed to the top of this sub-forum.

Don't do that. BTW doesn't work with MCPatcher.

Really? I've never had trouble with it. The only thing you have to make sure of is that you click on the MINECRAFT-JAR subfolder, so it adds the files at the correct level. If you go to the MCPatcher MCF page, they even use BTW as an example for installing mods with MCPatcher.

Considering that there's a Battosay thread titled "easily install your mods with MC Patcher" about two threads above this, and it's specifically listed as one of two ways to install BTW in the installation guide, I'd say you should double check that.

I'm not so sure, I installed BTW and ModLoader with MCPatcher today, and it's been working fine.

Incorrect. It works fine with the following configuration.

Windows 7 (64)

MCPatcher-2.4.1_03
Risugami's Modloader for 1.3.2
BTWMod3-92

I've added a few mods as well, but I can absolutely confirm the above.

Edit: I should also mention that this is a completely fresh installation of MC.

Is it Magic Launcher it doesn't work with, then?

I use BTW with magiclauncher, and it works completely fine, besides being slightly incompatible with optifine. So it's compatible with magiclauncher.
