Horizon's Epic Build: Indeos City

Post by Horizon »

Alright, I'm building a city that is to cover at least 40 square km. I will be taking screenies along the way. Made with creative mode as there's no way in hell I'm doing this legit. Also going to be vanilla because I wanna try out 1.3.

Wouldn't it have been better to have started building, made some screenshots, then made this thread instead? Even for posts on forums, first impressions count and well, so far it doesn't have much going for it :P

Heh, for a moment I thought you said 40Kx area!
How much of the area do you plan on filling?

Beautiful city you've got there! It's a true testament to minimalist design!

so that would be an area of around 6300 x 6300 blocks, right?

If you pull this off alone without any c&p going on ... I'm going to declare you insane. ;)

I have my fair share of experience with huge projects worked at by teams of 3 people or less and the biggest we've ever attempted was about 1 km², still isn't anywhere near finished btw.
So yeah, you're looking at months of construction time ... yes, that means if you neither sleep nor eat nor do anything else it's going to take months(!).

Sorry about the lack of pictures, I only take screenshots of completed buildings, and I'm making the ones in downtown gargantuan in size.

Can I ask you why you are teasing me and perhaps the rest of the community with *literally* nothing? No offence, but this is thread now pretty pointles. You should have taken a screenshot of at least something, or just build your city and then post the thread with screenshots.
