BTW: unpardonable sin(s)

Post by CycloneSP »

Hey guys, I have a confession I need to make.... I... I.... I broke my SFS mattock!!! T_T

I'm sorry! Please forgive me. I got carried away in my fervor of collecting netherrack and didn't notice the bar had gotten so low. *sniff* it was my first mattock in that world too.

While I go flagellate myself in penance, what BTW sins have ya'll committed as of late?

I used a Redstone Lamp instead of a Light Block.

O.o For what purpose? If for any reason other than the fact that your TP just makes RS lamps look super cool.... you got issues.

aren't RS lamps like 4 times as expensive to make?

I think Redstone Lamps look cooler than Light Blocks, to be honest.

I... I destroyed the bottom block of all my hemp plants in a world I had recently started. I was only half paying attention and thought I was collecting my wheat.

That's so sad! How much hemp did you lose?

EDIT: okay, I have another one, even though I now have access to block dispensers; I am still making fired urns manually via 1 stoked hibachi.

...I... I don't have any fully automated machines... yes I know, it's terrible... all of them are only semi automated, meaning I have to be there to hit a button to start them... Working these machines is taking my time away from the full automation, it's just a horrid cycle...

It was 4 rows of however long that village wheat farm was. Just made it my own. So something like 20, 24.

POTTERY! D: That was the one thing I wanted to automate most because I hated doing it >_>

I went on an expedition in the nether which ended with me face-checking the ground from a massive drop, foolishly carrying a lot of really valuable stuff along with me, (a few mattocks, stacks of redstone, repeaters...All kinds of things that would have been a pain to replace...To better understand how I failed: I have a Razer Naga with those thumb buttons on the side, one of which I've assigned to sneak, because it's a lot easier than using the shift key for me, the only problem is that it doesn't work if I leave Num Lock on, which I do from time to time...So here I was, thinking I was sneaking to a ledge to peek over it, and the next thing I know, I'm splattered on the netherrack below...Right next to a lava lake no less!

I ended up in the last bed I had slept in which was a good distance from my base/portal...Luckily I was able to get there fast enough and recovered everything except my dignity.

Also...I've never made a companion cube. Don't be hatin!

I'm still using stone and iron tools even though I have 8 stacks of SFS.
<DaveYanakov> I know I overuse them and put them in inappropriate places but they just feel so good.

Sure, that's what they all say! :P

Okay, I'll admit it, I haven't used a pulley in as far as I can remember. Heck, I rarely even use rope at all except for making axles... am I a bad person?

Scenario 1- Planted giant hemp farm, like 75x25, just learning to automate. Put my DB at ground level +1, so it kept eating my plants before they fully grew. Destroyed them all when I realized what I had done. Still harvest by hand.

Scenario 2 - I never use breeding harnesses.

Scenario 3 - I find the donuts to be a waste of inventory space. Bread and whatever else I scrounge up before full scale animal slaughter begins.

Final confession - I refuse to use water wheels. The majestic windmill is my friend!

I feel that waterwheels are kinda cheating. Unlimited power from a small space. I've tried HCB, but my mountain top fortresses never work out right. FC isn't about aesthetics, but in my world, looks are everything!

Thanks man. Those beautiful sails are what made me start this mod, and unless they disappear I'll never stop!

My personal sin is that i have no clue how to/have not automated the pottery. (Partly due to fear of the monsters that are underground guarding the redstone)
I still sit there with the clay in one hand and the shovel in the other.
Should i just go find a deep pit somewhere and jump in it?
