An important hint on what's to come to help you prepare
There are 4 fixed points within any MC world. Each of them acts as a magical nexus, each with its own unique properties. Others may or may not have already built structures around these locations, but that is unimportant in itself. It's the locations themselves which are significant.

Hmmmm.
The ones I can think of as possibilities are:
1.Original Spawn point
2.End Portal
3.Set spawn point
4.Nether portal
5.Dungeons
6.Something in nether Strongholds
Any of those could be one, but I'm pretty sure that original spawn point is one.

what if he adds world gen features that mark the points in new worlds, but old ones still have the properties of the location?
(eg, a village with a cult at 666,666,64 in a new world, but 666,666,64 in old worlds is still a nexus)

maybe he'll make some sort of pointer? (an SFS compass? a friendly/brainwashed soul that points you the right way?)

Keep in mind guys: I stated I'm giving you this information now so that you have a chance to prepare. It potentially involves a lot of work, and I know this isn't stuff that can be figured out without some kind of fore-knowledge, so I'm giving you the opportunity to get some of the preparation out of the way while I work on the new stuff so that you can start enjoying the new content once it's released.
Conspiracy theories are fine and all, but this really isn't a situation where they are appropriate :)
I will likely be giving out a few more of these hints as release comes closer.

I donmt know much building will be involved, but you probably need to find all four of these points, would be my guess.

The only issue I have with it possibly being the three end portals and the spawn point is that again, some people's maps wont have three end portals due to various reasons. I suppose FC could have ways of getting around that, but I think he is alluding to something else when he says "each with its own unique properties".

Plus, I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that the use of Eyes of Ender in old worlds leads you to faux strongholds, where the portal frames *would* be when used in old worlds, but there is infact nothing there. As FC said, it's the locations that are important ... Though I may be wrong ...

The theory of the three end portals and the original spawn make sense, but the question is: what do we have to protect? those four points? or ourselves from those four points? I mean, we should build a base containing those points? surrounding them? I think I may found this four and make a double defense, both to get in and to get out of those points. The amount of times that we have laughed of the dificulty of MC makes me think that this four points could be something that will increase it to a level that we must play in easy to be able to surivive, but this would make zombies skeletons and spider so ridiculously easy that I may be wrong.

If this is the case, then first of all that's pretty cool, I didn't know that. Second, then I suppose you are right an it would in fact not matter. That does raise an important question in my mind tho, do you think that height is an important factor in the location? Are all strongholds at a certain height? Or does the eye of ender lead you to the right height as well? As a side note - FC has said in the discussion about anarchy play that he's got an idea or two about how to make players come out of their holes and compete over locations. If these four points in the world don't sound like control points to you, I doubt nothing does.

Assuming we're talking about End Portals, finding them is probably only half of what you need to do. I think gathering enough Eyes of Ender to active all of them is a good idea, to be on the safe side.

I don't think it's going to be the end portals. It makes sense, but I'm pretty sure they generate infinitely now, as opposed to only 3.
