Stuck at "Done Loading" indefinitely

Well, I'm on a school computer trying to install Modloader, BTW, and TMI. First, I had installed all 3, and it didn't load, instead, staying on the Done Loading screen. I just tried modloader only (installing one at a time, finding the problem), and it did the same thing. I have rights to the appdata folder, as minecraft installed and ran fine before. Using modloader for 1.2.5, latest version of BTW, and 1.2.5 version of TMI. Any ideas?

Yep, Minecraft works by itself. Plus, I forced an update before attempting with modloader only

Stupid question, but just have to ask, you did delete META-INF, right?

Also, I'm pretty sure this is some wierd permission system set up. I just checked the folder, I've got all permissions except "Special Permissions", which system and administrator don't have either. It clears any user-made changed to the hard drive each reboot, though. I'm 90% sure I won't get this to work, I'm more just looking for fixes to try out.

Yes, I deleted meta-inf. Without deleting it, it blackscreens, though. Im just stuck at done loading

Any mods left over in the 'mods' folder from previous installations? That's why ModLoader even just by itself didn't work, I'm guessing.

I had a similar problem and fixed it by using Minecraft Portable.

I had MCPortable for a little while, and it worked well. Then I discovered MC Profile Manager. I like it a lot more. Easily access the folders for each build and create clean, ready-to-mod builds with a few clicks. Simple. :)

I still haven't messed with MC profile manager too much. I've never used an install other than BTW+TMI that I kept using. I'll probably try it out, thanks :)

You're welcome. I'm something of a BTW purist these days, too. But, I've come to really enjoy Thaumcraft 2, so I keep them in separate profiles.

I've actually been meaning to play tc2, just haven't had much time for mc lately. Hell, now I have no excuse not to try tc2 :)

At the risk of straying a bit here, TC2 is pretty good. There is a depth there which reaches beyond the standard 'nu orz'/'sooper-tool'. It's a little cryptic, but it is fun to experiment with the various mechanisms and try to regulate your own magical 'pollution'.

/offtopic

MCProfile Manager was meant to allow the easy use of multiple builds, but it has the side effect of being completely portable. One folder (MCProfileManager), all your MC in one place. Put it on your USB, and your pretty good to go.
