Forestry's Anti-Technic Pack move

Forestry's developer made it so that the mod checks if you used the technic launcher, and then if you have, the bees go nuts on you and blow stuff up.

I don't know about you, but that just made my day.

That is epic. It keeps people from wanting the mod in their Technic installs, while still allowing the people who actually know how to install mods to use Forestry with the other mods.

By the way, a comment I just read in that thread reminded me... The forestry author is one of the developers that will mantain BC now that Toad is gone... I guess we can only hope he does the same thing with BC, that would hurt Technic a lot....

No it's not. It's gone. They know the code, but it's not worth the hassle. Plus the best way to fight Sengir is to remove his mod from Technic. He's going to hurt from it more.

Cheapshot said it best, "HE WON! We'll stop mirrioring his download for free, as well as adertisting/promoting it constantly and and directing donation traffic toward it."

I totally agree with that statement AND it puts things in perspective for people who don't support the Technic pack. Sure, they get to keep control of their mod, but the price is a hefty one when they don't share with the other kids.

Lesson learned here? Share. It's the same thing I teach my kids so they don't grow up and fuck up opportunities because they're being selfish.

YEAH! If you're not in technic then nobody knows about your mod!

Incredible that they can be so antagonistic at someone who creates an interesting and fun product (FOR FREE!) and asks only that you use his link to download it.

I swear, the less you ask people to do, they more pissed they are at that one last thing they have to do.
