Been fiddling with a 3x millstone with a setback windmill over the last couple days for my NPC village. Right now it's just in creative, but I'm pretty satisfied with it and hope to get it built in my survival world this week.

Triple mills with water source. You can run 1, 2 or all 3 millstones at once. I'm pretty happy with the moldings for "baby-proof" access.

Decided to take a couple of screenshots of some things in our town. (Three of us playing coop, streaming weeknights on twitch/MeshsCorner). Texture pack is John Smiths mixed with some from Conquest, but I've heavily modified it over the years.

The inside of our sawmill, since this was taken I've upgraded the saw to 8 saws instead of 4 and it's glorious.

The inside of our Ark. A place deep underground behind multiple iron doors where we have separate rooms for 6 of each animal, should our surface dwellers become possessed. We also use the chests there as storage for certain things we don't want to lose, a stack of wheat seeds, melon seeds, jungle saplings etc etc

Wow, that town looks awesome! I especially love the ark idea, plus it has a fitting ominous feel to it. I may have to borrow that :)

It's all too easy for an "accident" to happen regarding escaped animals and whatnot. It's happened a few times already, thankfully they didn't get close enough to the portal. However with the risk being ever present in our minds, an Ark building was a natural idea that cropped up one night :)

I've made enough progress on the ha-ha surrounding my hell base to show the curious what I mean by it. The only disadvantage over a traditional wall is that you can look at endermen and if you are careless, intercept the odd arrow or web.

Images can be found here

I prefer them to walls because I like to see the surrounding area and because they result in extra resources rather than needing to quarry stone or sand from somewhere else in order to build up

I did it out of necessity in this case although I usually slab things over as a mid game project. I've only found 82 chunks of coal so far and underneath my house is a double ravine with a mineshaft. Illuminating the ground outside has been a very low priority.

Finished the bridge and made the northern gate of my town. Also improved the fields around the lake with a windmill and made some traps under it for fun.

@ all those interested in not slabbing around the cold biomes, an usefull trick is to make a large pen and let in it some mooshroom cows. Snow still looks good, but under it is something else.

Those pillars of ice on the edges look awesome! Makes snow biomes match viking/celtic building a lot better. Those are vines?

They are biome-specific cobwebs using the Conquest TP.

I've come to realize I tend to plan building projects that are too large for my tech level, which leads to me wasting more resources than I need to, and also dying more than I need to, so I tried going tiny for my next pre-cauldron settlement...

Hey guys,

So I figured our town was now at a stage where I could go take a load of screenshots to show some of our buildings. I've been streaming Monday - Thursday pretty much every evening for a while now ( twitch.tv/meshscorner ). Apologies, there are quite a few! and I can't seem to nest spoiler tags.

We have around 200-400 hours played in this world and everything was done in survival. The texture pack is my own mix, a combination of John Smiths and Conquest.

First off, an overview of the town in it's current state:

Just watch the stream. Honestly it is my favourite and most entertaining of all the live-streamers that have ever done BTW. If you are lucky, you may even catch them play with their junk on camera :D Or if you cant catch it, some of the previous streams are there.
I re-caught the BTW bug again cos of them, itches like crazy.

I'll post some of my builds here soon, when they are ready.
