Starter BTW House

Post by Alexia »

Hey,

Just thought I'd share this building I did.

It's nothing fancy, but is designed with BTW in mind.
A starter BTW home if you will.

Space for 2 water wheels at rear.
1 block space under floor for gear boxes etc.
Basement rooms for storage and machinery.

You can get the schematic and screenshots here:-

p.s. and yes Tartan is my other nickname, I have a few ;)

I love this!

One suggestion: replace the brick walls by stone bricks. I think the back looks a bit boring with the brick roof and walls.

Apart from that, great design execution!

Yah originally the back was also part wood part brick, but with several Hibachi's...it was a fire hazard. ;P
I did try stone bricks, but the grey didn't blend with the exterior.

Hey next btw mod suggestion, fire proof paint for wood? :)

Yeah, I do understand the fire concern. Maybe sandstone? Cobble?

I did a lot of experimenting and cobble can look really good if you frame it right, you just have to avoid building entire walls out of the stuff.
