BTW + IC2 and the Block Dispenser

Hello.

I was making a compact workshop the other day, using a block Dispenser hooked up to a Button. I then proceded to fill it up with IC2 Machines, and they deployed, but when they went back in THEY REVERTED TO MACHINE BLOCKS, AS THOUGHT THEY WERE BROKEN BY A PICK T_T.

Anyone else have this problem?

I don't use IC myself but might it be something like Alblaka using the damage system for IDs and the BD reverting it to the machine block because of that? It's probably something you'd be better of asking on the IC forums than here though.

I would think its just the BD's code. Its the same with picking up ice, it just "breaks" it rather than picking up the block.

The BD breaking ice is something FC coded it specifically to do since he doesn't want us to be able to get ice that way.

I believe the only way to pick up machines is with a wrench, right? So yeah, I guess you could just say that the block dispenser breaks the machine when it picks it up, like a pick.

Wrong. That's a "problem" with how works the machines in IC. Nothing to do with the BD. And to fix it, FC would have to waste time looking at the damage value of IC machines, and hard code each different case.

You can't expect blocks from different mod to always work together.

Can you pick up an ice block ? Nope.
