How to correctly install BTW 3.20/BC 2.2.5/IC2 1.23/RPpre3b

I think the problem with the ID resolver thing, is that it isn't getting into MC far enough for the ID resolver to even run. I did try changing the block Id by hand, but I just changed it to another used id. I'll try lowering it by 75 and see what happens.

An aside:
Do you think this could have been cause by my version of Java? I remember that my computer had kept having a java updater window popping up, and it was annoying me, so I just installed it. Could that be the problem? My minecraft runs fine vanilla and with everything but BTW, so I don't know if that would be the problem...

Sorry for the double post, but I think this deserves it. SUCCESS! I changed every block Id down 100, then the last 11 I had to change to 75 down. For just an ID conflict, that took WAAAAAY too much work. Ok, sorry I got kind of upset, but that was really a weird series of events. Id resolver never came up in the end either. Thanks for your help Walker, and sorry for wasting so much of your time!

Nope, the error I saw was just the standard ID error, so your java version should have nothing to do with it.

EDIT: Glad you fixed it! It was not a waste of my time, Tech. Support Issues have kinda become my thing, so it was no trouble at all.

Im pretty sure i did everything right. but it was all going good when i created a world a crash screen quickly poped up and disappeared and then i had a black screen.
could someone please help me out with this. these mods are awesome alone and together would be amazing! thanks

I half thought that could have been your problem, but I am glad to see you got it fixed now.

I am sorry I cannot update this (or the other install guide) today (until maybe very late my time), I kinda have a huge paper to write that I may have slacked off on, that might just be due tomorrow. (Or if you hate sarcasm, I slacked off on a huge paper due tomorrow, and I will be completely screwed if I don't finish it) So again, I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

I just wanted to point out: If you install RedPower and Better Than Wolves on an existing Better Than Wolves world. You'll have to raise the priority of Better Than Wolves in the ID resolver GUI, so it's IDs stay the same.
Then minecraft may crash saying "ID 255 is already in use". You'll have to edit %appdata%\.minecraft\redpower\redpower.cfg* and change the value of the "autoAssign=" option.

*I trust users of OS X or Linux distributions have the ability to convert that to the right path for their OS.

It's 2.2.5 and the same instructions work perfectly fine, I just installed it.
