Black Screen
Black Screen
Ok so I downloaded and installed modloader ---> forge ----> BTW
I did it in that order now I did have to downgrade from 1.8 to 1.7.3 to do this and for some reason right after I click not now on the upgrade button it stays on a black screen...
(Yes Meta is deleted)

Re: Black Screen
when you installed did you have a clean jar?
and how did you install BTW, did you put it in the mods folder or the jar?

Re: Black Screen
Or is it the right version of modloader? (1.8 is out, haven't you accidentally used that version, instead of 1.7.3?)

Re: Black Screen
No I searched down modloader 1.7.3 and I put the whole BTW jar folder in the minecraft.jar

Re: Black Screen
Do you have any other mods installed? Can you check your modloader.txt file in the .minecraft folder for errors?
Re: Black Screen
There is no other mods and I will try it again and look for a error on mod loader

Re: Black Screen
Open my minecraft.jar and delete the meta then throw in all the modloader class files than I threw in everything from the btw folder that said .jar and that is it

Re: Black Screen
Did you roll back to 1.7.3 before installing any of the components?
Try doing that. Other than that, I can't really see why you'd be getting an error.

Re: Black Screen
can you post your modloader.txt (its in the /minecraft directory) post that so we can know the exact problem
The list I could make of all the things this mod is better than.
Re: Black Screen
I can not find the .txt and yes I use forge for some reason it just wont work and yes I backed up to 1.7.3 I think I'm gonna have to wait for a update later on down the road if I am willing to do... I just don't know why it goes straight to a black screen

Re: Black Screen
2.94 of BTW requires that you also install the 1.0.6 version of Forge after installing modloader. Give it a shot with a clean jar and it should fix your problem.

Re: Black Screen
Since BTW 2.95 is out now, have you tried installing everything at the minecraft 1.8.1 level? You'll also need modloader 1.8.1 and forge 1.1.1.
Also what zip utility are you using to open minecraft.jar? You need to use WinRar or 7zip, as the windows one won't work.
If you aren't getting a modloader.txt file in your .minecraft folder it doesn't sound like it's working at all.
If you still have problems try these steps:
Delete the bin folder from within your .minecraft folder, then run minecraft, this will download the latest 1.8.1 version fresh.
Open minecraft.jar with WinRar or 7zip, add the contents of the modloader 1.8.1 zip file, then delete the META-INF folder.
Close minecraft.jar and re-run minecraft to see if it works and generates a modloader.txt file.
Re-open minecraft.jar and add the forge zip file contents. Now add the contents of the minecraftjar folder in the BTW zip.
Close minecraft.jar and run minecraft and it should be working fine, or at least generate some errors in the modloader.txt file.
