I think It would be quite amusing if FC decided to release earlier, at 1st or April, and when people open the game they will only discover something....different. (Another gimp suit?) While FC waits a day to say April Fools.

Even better, I'll have 5 days of nothing to test the release with since I'm on my Easter holidays at that time. :)

All Right! My family is Jewish and so every year we celebrate Passover (pessakh) - which means a vacation between the 7th and the 14th!

Great, ya'll just made me realize my kids are going to be out of school for spring break and fighting me for computer time. Thanks American school system. I have to let them win too, because if I hog the computer I'm just teaching them to be selfish. I swear the worst part of being a parent is having to set a good example for the kids.

FlowerChild you magnificent bastard. Making us think BTW was over left me breathless. Seeing what you had planned meant that breathless episode doubled in length. We'll have to keep an eye out for any forum regulars going silent since it's possible this announcement actually killed people.

The best bit is that it'll take the sting out of tax day in these parts.

I'm not going to lie, I almost cried when I read the bad news. I then proceeded to shed one manly tear when I read the good news. I'm more excited about this then any other release of minecraft that I've ever been through.

as I said in MCF, I think it'll be steam :P

it's the only thing I can remember FC ever mentioning would take that long other than the lens, plus the hint had hissing noises and people running through mist. and it's the next logical step for tech development from a real world perspective. and if what FC said in the past is still planned, it will be MASSIVE :P
(and it could be used in the nether to push items horizontally :D)

that's assuming that the new feature will be tier progression and not an automation feature :P
