That's not a bug, it's a feature of the mod. It forces you to use the new spout blocks.

You can turn it off in the config, but is it recommended you do not as it makes the game a lot more fun :)

I followed all the instructions exactly and tryed again, but didn't work

GenericSkills seems to be incompatible with something. Do you recognize that mod? Disable it.

Thanks, I realised that early this morning when I read through the rest of the post detailing all the additional functionality added in BTB.

Having been away from MC since November last year, losing my 1.8.1 backup, discovering FC was no longer involved in the forge project and then discovering that I could still have BTW and BC running at the same time led to the cardinal sin of not reading the whole of the BTB OP!

Try looking on these forums for HCB or hardcore bucket mode, that's the name of the feature. It looks odd at first, but it forces you to rethink how you work, creating extra challenges.

That looks like a block id conflict to me. Did you reinstall in a fresh .minecraft folder or did you just replace a the minecraft.jar?

If you did the latter, try deleting the buildcraft.cfg file in .minecraft/buildcraft/config and rerunning minecraft.

Yep, a block ID conflict with block 255, the vase. Go to the BTW config.txt in the zip you downloaded, place it in your .minecraft folder and change it to something open, around ~145 should be good.

There's my Modloader.txt for you. I'll try to give you as much information as I can.

I deleted my .minecraft folder before hand to clear it of my old mods. I then used MCpatcher and patched each of the addons you listed in the exact order you listed them in. I then unticked all of the HD mods that MCpatcher comes with and then hit the patch button. The patcher warned me that some of the mods were incompatible but I chose to go ahead with the patch anyways since the mods were redesigned around one another and that simply couldn't be the case. I launched Minecraft and then got an error.

Just ask if you need anything else that I have not provided.

From the look of that file it seems like you have, for some reason, installed BTB and BTW in the mods folder, not in the jar itself. I'd check that first. BTW and BTB need to be installed in the jar itself in order for BTB to run.

The way I use MCPatcher to install these is in the order:
ModLoader
ModLoaderMp
BTW
BTB

And then drop the BuildCraft zipfiles in the modfolder once you've run Minecraft to check if it works. Never had any problems with installing when doing it like that.

If you decide to install by hand make sure to use 7Zip or WinRar, other zip programs sometimes mess up the jar-file.
Lots of planets have a north...!

Yeah, I had a problem where I put BC in the .jar.

Make sure you put all the BC stuff in the mods folder, and all the BTW and BTB stuff in the .jar.

And do it by hand. I dunno what MCpatcher is, but it's probably effing something up.

Went ahead and gave it a second try patching it the way you did with mcpatcher, I launched Minecraft and it crashed after the Mojang screen. I then decided to try to merely run the Better Than Wolves mod, when I went to create a wooden gear to be certain it worked properly it did not work, I checked hte MCpatcher log and it turned out that BTW was never being properly initialized in the first place, instead only Modloader and ModloaderMP were shown in the list of loaded mods.

Upon attempting to run it again with BTB, BC, and BTW to get a proper Modloader.txt to post on here I also discovered that BTB isn't showing up on the loaded mods list either.

@ Dots, what my best guess is for the source of your problem is that you are selecting the whole zip to be copied into the jar, instead of *JUST* the MINECRAFT-JAR folder inside of the BTW and BTB zip downloads. If you do that, the problem should go away.

Hi all i know that this mod require a clean install of MC, but i have some mods installed and all working on and BTB is the last mod i want to complete my personal mod pack.
I am getting blackscreen after mojang titlte, with only BTW install as well as with both BTW and BTB installs. I hope if we can analyze the problem and find a solution for me to BTB work with the other mods. A lot of thanks!

Can you try just using BTW BC and BTB, and see if you can an error then. (I guess you can keep Optifine as well, as long as you have the forge compatible version.)

Where is the problem, with industrial craft or with forge mod? Can i get a solution for that with out unninstalling industrial craft?

BTW is not compatible with industrial craft so & most forge mods.

BTW won't work with forge. If you want them to work together, learn Java and recode BTW yourself. (And considering the amount of files that are modified by both FC and forge, it would be no small task.)
