You're right in that there's a baseclass conflict BUT the minimap still works when you overwrite said class with the BTW version. In fact I was unable to find out what this class does for Rei's.
Try the waypoint marker, the ones that float in the world itself instead of just on the map.
Work fine for me (though I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing).

Safezone? I'm fairly sure there isn't any such zone.

Does it? There is a particles setting in vMC and Optifine that lets you modify it, that might be set to None.
optifine and btw together causes alot more problems than that though, like not being able to disable connected textures for glass panes, and even if you change the particles back to full nothing shows up with both mods installed (unless optifine fixed some things in the last two weeks).

try this for hd textures instead

as fc already told us, they work based on light level (this goes for the question of spawners as well) and none of the things mentioned above are light level dependent (player spawn nor slime spawning) they function on different rules.

me thinks you need to read the mod install instructions for reis minimap again, and for those who think the minimap makes it too easy to cheat on anarchy servers: you cant use entity radar in smp, its broken (properly working?) like that.

Safezone? I'm fairly sure there isn't any such zone.
There is. 24 blocks from the (player) spawn or player cannot spawn mobs.

If you read more carefully you would have understood that the Ender Spectacles allow the user to find "rifts" in the world through which monsters can enter. Since the spawn area and the strongholds are also rifts of this kind, it was assumed that the Ender Spectacles could do something special around them.

oh no, i totally read the part where he told us what the back story would be in the mod, what i wrote was meant to be an explanation that would help people understand the difference between game story and how the mod code finds the blocks that it will display.... tell you what ill put it (halfway) in character this time;

though those rifts are still strong enough for entities to pass through into our dimension and even for steves soul to be bound to a specific area they are not strong enough for the endermen to detect, therefore they do not show for a steve wearing the spectacles. this is because (and sorry fc if this messes with your story) part of what an endermans mind looks for while interpreting the rifts is the level of darkness. they cannot see the lingering remnants of steves soul at his reincarnation point, nor the areas affected by ancient monster soul cages, nor areas in which slimes will form from cave residues.

EDIT:i might try to put things in character more often, that was kinda fun to write

In stead of assuming Light is what bonds the universe, isn't it safer to say that Light destroys the dark energy corrupting the world and empowering the Enderdragon?

Think about it: the Nether and the End are kept together just fine without Light. But the End has no Sun, nor has the Nether.

The sun also destroys the weakest creatures (Skeletons and zombies), and causes entities made from this "ender energy", ie Endermen, to be destroyed.


So yea, i'd say Light destroys the ender-energy leaking into the world and causing it to be a humongous mob-trap.

Well, in this mod Steve is kinda an asshole.
At least mine is.

Anything that moves is fair game. Chickens, cows, pigs, dogs, zombies, spiders, skeletons, spider jockeys, zombie pigmen, slimes, endermen, and even alien villagers are all sent to thier deaths for fun and profit. And then he takes their souls. The only animals not generally slaughtered on a regular basis are sheep and cats. The rest die.

They die by falling, burning, suffocation...and let's to forget the saws. The ever humming saws that are eternally lubricated by the blood of the stupid and unlucky.

It's like a demonic episode of "Will it blend?".

And now he takes their eyes and wears them like an accessory.

Maybe Steve is a fugitive war criminal. Or an escaped intergalactic lunatic.

Well, I think you can be fairly certain that if Mojang's 1.4 shrunken-head feature doesn't include villagers (or wolves), that's the kind of "oversight" I am likely to correct ;)

Let's keep the Spanish Inquisition action to a minimum guys. If someone confirms that they are the same individual that was previously banned, I will obviously take care of it. Otherwise, there's no need to start descending into paranoia.
