What do you mean ?
I've used it continuously with 40 clay blocks, without any problems.

I tried it out, and the Block Dispenser swallowed and kept a vase, and then spit it out instead of a clay block.

That is automatic! Press a button, you get Pottery. Presto.

Fine... I'll call it the "Pottery Vending Machine" before you go all Bethesda on my arse :P
