Found an abandoned kitten :P

So my wife came home with a small gray kitten yesterday. Apparently it came running up to her crying as soon as she got out of the car. She went over to were it had been and found a dead kitten there. She also remembered seeing a dead cat by the road a couple days ago so our best guess is that the mother was a stray and died leaving her kittens all alone. Later we found a small black kitten hover over the dead kitten. That one however runs away whenever we try to get close. Hopefully we can find one of our friends who would like a kitten. Other than that I'm not sure what we're going to do with them...

I can't. We have a small apartment, allergies, and not enough time. Plus I'm just not really an animal person. :P

My cat for the last 4-ish years I found in the parking lot at my college as a tiny kitten. He's a long haired orange cat and is huge now.

Would you rather just have the info for the shelters, then, or should I swoop by and save them? ;) That way I would get to meet a Sarudak, a Mrs Sarudak, and play with a kitten or two.

I would also recommend sitting by where the black kitten is and leaving out a dish of milk. That will probably attract him in time if you can spare it.

Oh I can take care of getting them to the shelters no problem. I tried leaving milk out for the black kitten. I even tried bringing the other kitten out and it looked like he was going to come out and play but they ended up both going back under the deck. After the grey kitten came back out she wouldn't go see the black kitten anymore. In fact she wouldn't leave my side/feet anymore. :P

DUDE Mine has such a close history to yours! And he has orange hair, but also white.

Good news! Turns out the mama cat had an owner. They used to live in our apartment complex and happened to decide to come down one more time to look for her (they had lost her weeks ago). My wife happened to be coming home when they were there told here the whole story and we gave them the kitten we found. We also found three more kittens and gave them to the family so they're going to a good home and they'll be taken care of. Sadly this means I won't be getting any pictures.
