The Igniter is compatible with RedPower. The Hibachi from BTW is not. Enough said.

Well, except she got a couple of things wrong:

-As mentioned above, the universal orientation to one-up my feature set just makes it kinda lame and looks weird.
-She used flint & steel in the recipe which actually goes back to an early design error that I made with the Hibachi because it prevents you from mass-crafting.

Seriously though guys, nothing but lolz on this one. It's such a pathetically obvious imitation that I think she did nothing other than prove my point.

It's really apparent she did it to spite you in a way, it seems to have no other function then allowing you to start a fire with redstone. And her comment about the Hibachi is rather pointless being it actually has a true function.

Hmm...why? I mean...there is no logical reason (in the context of redpower) for it's inclusion, given the deployer's functionality and the relative ease it'd be to prevent it using up the flint and steel's durability.

Now, if it were merely the issue of a block that generates fire, fine, that wasn't even FC's original idea, sure.

But it looks EXACTLY THE SAME, and it didn't have to, and that's what bothers me about it.

I wonder... people keep begging me to adopt forge for the sprite indices. I'd consider just showing them this video, saying "This is the person at the helm of the forge," but most people probably wouldn't get it, and really, the messages aren't THAT much of a pain to answer...

It has a function, lets you make fire places you can turn on and off :D

And on topic, that is like....lame...she coulda at least changed the model at least....

From what I'v seen it looks like she made forge to steal ideas for her own mod/s and just had the added benifit of a usefull API that everyone could use.

To those who haven't seen eloraam's response:

The Deployer could already use a Flint&Steel (accidental feature), so if you look closer, you'll see a lot of Deployer theme to the graphics. Otherwise, I do freely admit that it's very much like the Hibachi. I miss RP+BTW, but breaking that compatibility was not my decision. So I'll just give my users what they ask for, and not worry too much about the detractors.
