I've been anticipating this game for a while, and apparently, this riddle holds the release date. I figured the picture might just be binary, but that didn't really lead anywhere. Any ideas?

Really? how exactly did you do it? I was fumbling around with it for a while before I gave up, all I got was gibberish

After noticing that the sides favored up/down streaks; and the top and bottom, side/side streaks I decided that the binary was in a spiral. So I went clockwise 'round the thing 'til I hit center. That decoded easily.
Sorry If I am unclear, I only just woke up.

Release date of Mari0, a crossover game between Super Mario Bros and Portal. Essentially, you can play through the Super Mario levels with a portal gun, there's also going to be some maps made specifically for the game, and also a level builder for anyone to use.
