Pig breeding

Hello.

My pigs are eating up all the grass very quickly and starving to death.
I tried putting grass blocks in the planter, but for some reason that didn't work.
Is there a better way?

Hi, pigs need a lot of grass because they eat it until it's dirt. Other passive mobs will choose to eat full grass instead of sparse grass, so you got to give them a lot of space, probably like 6x6 (don't quote me on that) for just the first pig. Another thing that can help is leaving fence posts between your farm space so they can't eat it.
For breeding though, you need to give them chocolate, not grass blocks
